ISN’T IT BEAUTIFUL? AREN’T YOU GLAD YOU CAN SEE?

The performance explores the gradual merging of the human body and technology through an intimate dialogue between a light source and the dancer’s body. Their relationship raises questions of closeness, control, and dependency. Who adapts to whom, and to what extent does the body remain autonomous? Technology is not presented merely as a tool, but as a partner whose presence shapes both our actions and our perception of ourselves. The work reflects on our everyday relationship with technologies that expand our possibilities while simultaneously requiring us to adapt to their logic. Rather than treating the human and the machine as opposites, the performance follows their gradual convergence. Through the encounter between light and the living body, it considers how human identity is changing as technology becomes an inseparable part of our lives. Paintings

Abstract canvas with white impasto over burgundy blue and black forms

Painting 11

Chemtrails as a painting motif: traces that spread, overlap and disappear into further layers.

Abstract canvas with blue red green and white figures outlined in black

12

Painting 12

A child’s kite tears into fragments. What was meant to rise and hold together falls apart. With it, childhood dreams unravel.

Abstract canvas with pale heads black outlines and red grey and yellow fragments

13

Painting 13

Small figures gather into something shared, yet the relationships between them remain unclear. Each holds on to its own outline. The whole consists of separate parts that seem to be seeking a place beside one another.

Abstract canvas with black blue red and white forms

Painting 04

Pressure Memory The body is enclosed in a casing that both protects and restricts it. It resembles a spacesuit: separating it from its surroundings while keeping it alive. Pressure builds up in layers of form until the boundary between the body and its support disappears.

Abstract canvas with yellow wings and dark central body

05

Painting 05

A yellow field connects scattered motifs. Forms transform, overlap and lose their firm outlines.

Abstract turquoise red black and white canvas

07

Painting 07

A hand and a head in the upper part of the painting mingle with butterfly motifs. It is a moment of summer rest, when the body relaxes and attention can wander freely.

Abstract red black white and pink canvas

09

Painting 09

The circle evokes both a target and part of a control apparatus. The surrounding forms arrange themselves in relation to it, as though it determined where the body could move and where it had to stop.

Abstract blue black white and yellow canvas

Painting 10

Portrait of Bernard Marcel. The face appears and disappears beneath layers of paint. The figure of the philosopher remains present, yet both his recognisable features and the notion of a fixed, rational order fall apart.
